                  B.A.  English   Literature  Course  was introduced  during  the  academic  year,  1971-1972  in  this Institution.  B.A. English   Literature Course (Shift II) was  started  when the Shift  System was introduced  during the academic year, 2007-2008.

 REPORT FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-2016               

             A Two-day   UGC-funded Seminar on Communication for  Placement was organized on 12.08.2015 and 13.08.2015.
Prof. G. Ravindran, Former Prof. & Head, Department of English, St. Joseph’s College, Trichy and Mrs. Buvaneswari Govardhan, Seventh Sense Academy, Tirupur, were  the Resource Persons for the Seminar.

REPORT FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2014-2015                   

            A  Two-Day   UGC - funded Workshop on Enhancing Communication Skills  was held on 30.01.2015. Dr. D.Mathialagan, HOD
of English, Institute of Road and Transport Technology, Erode, adorned the dais as the Chief Guest. Prof. N.K. Rajagoapaulan M.A., M.Phil., Asst. Professor of English, Annai Arts and Science College, Karur, delivered a special address on  Fascinating Fantasy.  To showcase the hidden efficiency of the student-stars, the Department organized an Exhibition and the students took part
in it with enthusiasm.

REPORT FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR  2013-2014

          English Literary Association for the academic year,  2013-2014 was inaugurated  by Prof.S.Veera Raghavan, M.A., DSCMT,
 Parks College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), Tirupur.
He delivered a special address  on Win With English.
